St Thomas Community Fridge is now open thanks to funding from Hubbub and the Co-op. The fridge was previously located in St Thomas Library and St Thomas Parish Church, but it has now moved to our new food hub at 95 Cowick St, open Monday – Thursday 10am – 3pm.  Community fridges are places where local people can share free food, this includes surplus from supermarkets, local food businesses, producers, households and gardens.

We are currently getting regular deliveries from Fare Share South West, Essentials Bank and Shillingford Organics. We have also had donations from Exeter Food Action, The Grocer on the Green, St Thomas Community Garden, Devon Dig and Donate, and local Co-op stores, We accept donations from households and allotments, so if you have surplus home grown fruit and veg or have food you won’t eat, e.g. if you’re going on holiday, you can put it in the fridge. NB we only accept fruit & veg and vegan foods, which are clearly labelled. We can’t take anything past its use by date or any opened packets.
